1. Universal Opening

Use these phrases to structure your speech and avoid jumping straight into the topic.

When you need to 'buy' 5–10 seconds to recall a word or construct a sentence.

3. Tricks: Emphasis and Repetition

These phrases help emphasize the importance of your point and connect parts of your speech.

Haluaisin korostaa sitä, että... I would like to emphasize that...

Kuten jo mainitsin... As I already mentioned... Shows that you remember your train of thought.

Toisin sanoen...In other words... If you get tangled up in a complex sentence, say this phrase and simplify your idea.

4. Universal Closing

Never end your speech abruptly. Make it clear that you are finished.
